Who I Am
I am Ollie Watkins, a 15-year-old student who enjoys making the most out of every opportunity that comes my way. I study at St Patrick’s Catholic College, where my favourite subjects are Sport Science, iMedia and Religious Education. I would describe myself as a relaxed, hardworking and ambitious person who enjoys spending time with family and friends while always trying to improve myself.
The people closest to me have played a huge part in shaping who I am today. My family have always encouraged me to work hard and chase my dreams, while my friends make life enjoyable and help create great memories. I believe that staying positive, showing respect and giving my best effort are important values that help me both in sport and everyday life.
My Passions
Football is by far my biggest passion and has been a huge part of my life since I was three years old. I love the competition, teamwork and excitement that comes with playing, and I am always looking for ways to improve my game. Alongside football, I have recently discovered a love for golf, which gives me a different challenge and allows me to enjoy time outdoors.
Gaming is another hobby that I really enjoy, especially after a busy day at school or training. It gives me a chance to relax, spend time with friends and switch off from everyday life. Whether I am on the football pitch, the golf course or playing online, I enjoy challenging myself and having fun.
My Achievements
I am proud of many things I have achieved so far, especially in football. Winning the treble three times with Boro Rangers Reds and earning a trial with Sunderland Football Club are moments that I will always remember. I have also had the chance to play at the Riverside Stadium, which was an incredible experience for a lifelong Middlesbrough supporter.
Some of my proudest achievements have happened away from sport as well. Overcoming my fear of flying allowed me to enjoy holidays and new experiences with my family. I have also enjoyed learning new skills during my work experience at CTODigital, where I have gained an insight into website development and the digital industry.
Looking Ahead
My biggest ambition is to play football professionally and turn my passion into a career. I know that success takes dedication, discipline and hard work, and I am determined to keep improving every day. I also want to continue developing my golf game, learning new skills and taking on new challenges that help me grow as a person.
While football is my dream, I understand the importance of having other goals as well. If life takes me in a different direction, I would like to build a successful career in a skilled trade such as joinery. Above all, my aim is to work hard, enjoy life and make my family and the people around me proud.
